Description and Service Details

Description (Service) 6-week intensive group program for individuals requiring an alternative to inpatient admission or a follow-up from an inpatient admission * focus is on crisis management, symptom stabilization and skills development * team consists of  occupational therapists, nursing, psychiatry and social work * focus on learning new coping skills, self-reliance and personal growth * programming incorporates evidence-based practices including Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectal Behavioural Therapy (DBT) and Mindfulness

Services include:
  • psychiatric assessment and treatment
  • supportive therapy
  • group-based education and skill building related to stress management, coping, communication, and managing illness
  • family education
Hours The program area is open from 8am-4pm and staff are available during those hours for assistance
The core group program: Mon-Thu 9am–2pm * Fri 9am-12noon
