Duties

Volunteers needed in the following Community Outreach Programs: 


Neighbourhood Care Network (ongoing, work with individuals or families to identify and access needed resources).*

Grocery Delivery Program (weekly on Wednesday mornings, to an Oakville Halton Community Housing neighbourhood).*

Community BBQ program (Summer only, weekly on Thursday afternoons, at Oakville Halton Community Housing neighbourhood).

Dinner at your Door (Thursday mid day - year round delivering hot prepared meals to home-bound local persons).* 

Lyon’s Lane vegetable garden plot (Spring and summer Tuesday mornings - growing and harvesting produce for donation to local food outreach programs).

St. Simon’s and St. Jude’s Pantry program (monthly, prepare and package 60 - 75 individual meals for local meal outreach programs).

* indicates that Police Criminal Background check with Vulnerable Sector Screening required (available online through Halton Police Services).
