Description and Service Details

Description (Service) Youth Development -- for Black/African Canadian youth
  • Youth Leadership Development Program: arts, heritage, mentoring and community engagement activities; youth and community safety activities
  • One for One Peer Youth Mentoring Program
  • Enhanced Youth Outreach Program (EYOW): short-term counselling and support, referrals
  • co-op and summer employment opportunities
Seniors' Program
  • mental and physical wellness information sessions
  • recreational activities
  • opportunity to meet with virtual mentor; computer/technology literacy training
Women and Families
  • information and referral to community resources
  • group support and information sessions
  • group sessions on parenting issues
  • recreational activities such as field trips and barbeques
  • volunteer and community engagement opportunities
Children's Programs
  • After School Homework Club -- one-on-one or small group homework help for elementary school students provided by provided by youth/young adult volunteers
