Description (Service) |
Offers a home-based early childhood education program that teaches parents to be their preschool child's first teacher and prepares their 3, 4, and 5-year-old children for success in school.
- Home Visitors meet weekly with parents in their own homes (in Oakville, Milton, and Burlington) to role-play the 30-week research-based curriculum using Canadian materials to teach pre-reading, pre-writing, and pre-math skills
- Parents are supported by their Home Visitors and by the activity packets that make learning and play more fun
- 1 group meetin is held each month for mothers with guest speakers to discuss parenting topics, while their children participate in an Early Childhood Education program
SMART - Supporting Mothers and Raising Toddlers
- For children aged 18 - 36 months
- Home Visitors demonstrate how to get maximum play and educational value from the toys and books we supply
- Parents will learn 78 activities to share with their children throughout the 30-week program
