Description (Service)

The town currently has six outdoor skateboard parks

  • helmets are mandatory at skateboard parks 
  • additional personal protective equipment such as wrist guards, elbow pads and knee pads are strongly recommended
  • the use of BMX or mountain bikes is prohibited 

Cornwall Road Sports Park - 425 Cornwall Road

  • 300 square metre park 
  • cast in place concrete park features a bowl incorporating elements such as waves and islands

George Savage Park - 3200 George Savage Avenue (beside Oodenawi Public School)

  • 285 square metre park 
  • includes quarter pipe, flat ledge, flat bar, rooftop wedge to wedge and rooftop ledge, manual box and out-ledge combination, and cantilevered turnaround banks 

Glen Abbey Park - 1415 Third Line, Glen Abbey Community Centre

  • 300 square metre park built on concrete pad
  • includes several ramps, grind rails, a planter, grind box and jersey barrier 

Glenashton Park - 1051 Glenashton Drive, Iroquois Ridge Community Centre

  • 320 square metre park built on concrete pad 
  • includes several ramps, a mini half pipe, a planter, a kinked grind rail, a grind box and stairs 

Shell Park - 3307 Lakeshore Road West

  • 1,230 square metre park 
  • 26 cement ramps 
  • open year round weather permitting 
  • skateboard classes are offered in the Spring and Fall 

William Rose Park - 455 Wheat Boom Drive

  • 120 square metre park
  • cast in place with a central bowl and other curved ramps
