Description and Service Details

Description (Service)
  • Eight ensembles
  • perform several concerts annually
  • perform at workshops
  • make guest appearances at community functions
  • collaborate with other choirs in Ontario

Little Voices

  • for children in JK-Grade 1
  • fun and enriching introduction to choral singing through song, games, rhythm and Orff instruments  

Growing Voices

  • for singers in grades 2 - 5
  • children are introduced to basics of choral singing and music theory
  • weekly one-hour rehearsal
  • weekly musicianship and theory
  • several annual performances including self produced concerts
  • no out-of-town travel

Vibrant Voices

  • for girls in grade 5 - 8
  • choir rehearses weekly for 1.5 hours 
  • weekly theory and musicianship programs
  • participates in all OCC concerts, choral retreats and workshop
  • performs at several community events
  • participates in festivals with some traveling within Ontario 

United Voices

  • for girls in grade 8 - 12
  • members are required to have sight singing skills and vocal experience
  • weekly two-hour rehearsals, sectionals, theory, individual vocal coaching and musicianship programs
  • begins each season with the annual choral retreat weekend
  • choristers must commit to numerous local and out-of-town performance opportunities
  • opportunity to tour locally or internationally  

Chamber Voices

  • a select group of choristers from the Senior Choir who have attained a higher level of vocal skill and musicianship
  • members are frequently called upon to serve as ambassadors for the community and leaders within the organization
  • small group which performs extensively and receives more opportunities to travel 

Brave Voices

  • for boys in grade 5 and up
  • for boys and young men including singers with changed voices
  • lays the vocal and musical foundation boys need in order to thrive in Noble Voices
  • provides the opportunity to continue singing in a safe, supportive and exciting environment
  • rehearsals intersperse time spent on singing technique and repertoire
  • team building activities focusing on creating strong camaraderie between the boys and young men who will provide mentorship in the ensemble 

Noble Voices

  • a select group of singers from Brave Voices who have attained a higher level of vocal skill and musicianship
  • small group which receives performance opportunities within the community
  • opportunity to tour locally or internationally

  • Option 1: Vocal Placements in the Spring for all choirs for Sep-May session
  • Option 2: Vocal Placements in Dec/Jan for all choirs for mid-term, acceptance
