Survivor-Led Peer Advocacy Program
- a space that has been designed by survivors for survivors of human trafficking and exploitation
- compliments non-peer related services at Restorations as it exists to promote collaborative relationships that empower survivors
Nancy's House
- a second stage, long-term transitional home for survivors of sexual exploitation and trafficking in Hamilton/Halton
- provides a safe and supportive space for residents to heal, reclaim, and restore
- a bridge between first stage emergency shelters/short-term safe houses and third stage independent living
- access to specialized programs and services, individualized and holistic care, wrap-around services, and a sense of belonging and community amongst other survivors
- programming elements are delivered through a combination of in-house services as well as in partnership with services and organizations in the wider Halton/Hamilton community
Empowered Caregivers Project
- a survivor‑led initiative developed to equip caregivers supporting individuals affected by human trafficking and sexual exploitation
- provides a free online toolkit and course with practical, trauma‑informed strategies for caregivers
- includes learning modules, videos, worksheets, and guidance informed by more than 15 survivors
- designed for family members, community supporters, and professionals assisting survivors
- funded by Women and Gender Equality Canada (WAGE)

| Eligibility |
Ages: 18 year(s) and up Nancy's House:
- are a survivor of sexual exploitation and/or trafficking
- are looking for a communal living environment that can provide you with holistic supports to address a variety of needs like counselling, education, job training, life skills development, and/or social supports
- are not in active crisis and do not require immediate crisis-related supports
- are comfortable living independently with in-house staff supports throughout weekdays
- are willing to live in a sober living environment
- are looking for housing for a minimum of 6 months and up to 2 years
- do not have dependent children or pets in your care (assistance provided with finding a suitable placement for pets for your duration at Nancy’s House)
