Description and Service Details

Description (Service)

59 unit apartment building with 24 specially designed support care units * provides supports for older adults, and adults with disabilities to remain independent in their own homes for as long as possible * referral to other community services

  • the Attendant Care Services program (Oakville site) is an in-home attendant care service for physically disabled adults who are living in Oakville, and who are able to direct their own care


Attendants provide assistance with activities of daily living such as:

  • meal preparation
  • taking medication
  • personal grooming and hygiene
  • toileting
  • rising and retiring
  • transferring
  • dressing, undressing, bathing, washing
  • essential communication services
  • ventilator and tracheotomy services
  • for existing consumers, palliative support can be offered when appropriate
