Description and Service Details
Description (Service) | Crisis services for all people, all genders, who have experienced sexual violence, Human Trafficking and / or domestic violence. May include physical examination, treatment of injuries, medications to prevent sexually transmitted diseases, information on pregnancy, choice of completing the Sexual Assault Evidence Kit.
Individuals are seen in a private room by specially trained sexual assault / domestic violence nurses to ensure confidential and sensitive treatment. Police are not called unless the patient indicates this choice. |

Eligibility | Sexual Violence services are offered to anyone who has been sexually assaulted regardless of age or gender. Domestic violence services are offered to anyone who has experienced intimate partner abuse in the past twelve months. |
Application | For individuals who have recently been assaulted, go directly to the Emergency Department and ask to see the sexual assault / domestic violence nurse. Minimal wait (45-60 minutes) for the nurse on call to arrive. |
