Description and Service Details

Description (Service) Children's treatment centre for children and youth with physical and developmental disabilities, autism, communication disorders, and children who are deaf or blind.

Services include
  • audiology; infant hearing program; preschool speech and language
  • assistive devices resource service
  • blind low vision early intervention program; early intervention resources
  • medical clinics
  • occupational therapy, physiotherapy, recreation therapy
Family Support Services
  • Coordinated Service Planning - for residents of Peel with a child/youth with complex needs who is under 18 years or young adults living in Peel with complex needs between 18-21 years who are still in school
  • Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) services
  • transition services for children and youth
  • respite services for children, youth and young adults - daytime and overnight - NOTE respite services are temporarily unavailable and expected to reopen in the summer of 2023; call organization for updates or visit website
  • service navigation and social work services for families with a child receiving service at ErinoakKids
Autism Services
  • Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) diagnostic assessment
  • caregiver-mediated early years program
  • entry to school program for children 3-6 years registered with the Ontario Autism Program (OAP)
  • free foundational services: post-diagnosis consultation, virtual learning hub, online workshops for parents and caregivers, social groups for preteens and teenagers
  • Urgent Response Service: up to 12 weeks of services/supports to respond to a specific need for children and youth up to 18 years registered in the OAP to prevent further escalation of risk of harm to self, others and/or property
Spring/summer programs, and Independent Living Services for youth 16-19 years for clients of ErinoakKids

Eligibility

Children with disabilities, 19 years and younger

Ontario Autism Program -- children and youth 18 years and under with a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder from a qualified professional; written diagnosis including assessment information and documentation pertaining to the diagnosis required
