Description (Service)

The Town maintains pedestrian and bicycle trails and community parks throughout Milton  
 
Encompasses:

  • 120 acres of woodlot
  • 380 acres of parks
  • 190 acres of open space  

Trails:  

Millpond Trail

  • along the banks of the Millpond
  • connects to Margaret Street and Rotary Park

Timberlea Neighbourhood Walk 

  • connects Anne MacArthur Public School, E.C. Drury School of the Deaf, Sam Sherratt Public School, E.W. Foster Public School and the Milton Mall 
  • includes Centennial Forest, Beaver Court Park, Samm Sherratt Park, Coulson Park and Coxe Blvd Park

Coates Neighbourhood Walk

  • connects Bristol District park, Macquire Park, Coates Neighbourhood Park 
  • suitable for walking, biking, rollerblading and strollers  

Dempsey Neighbourhood Walk

  • winds through Dempsey Woodlot North and South, Maple Woodlot
  • links to Sprucedale Lane and Sprucedale Park  

Wagging Tail Trail Walk (Off-leash Dog Park)

  • follows and crosses 16 Mile Creek 
  • adjacent to a preserved woodlot
  • winds through Clarke Neighbourhood Park North  

Beaty Tributary Walk 

  • paved walkway running along a tributary of 16 Mile Creek
  • link to Milton Public Library Beaty Branch

Scott Neighbourhood Walk

  • hard surface trail located next to storm water management pond
  • native grasses, trees and shrubs have been planted 
  • view of the Niagara Escarpment  

Brookville Hamlet Walk

  • Brookville Park encompasses 3 hectares of play area, playground with covered shelter, multi-use court, batting/pitching cages 
  • paved and lit trails
  • asphalt parking lot 
  • trail loops in and around open space, form hedgerows and farms, new and older homes in Brookville 
  • access to local elementary school
